Maria Bartiromo was the first American journalist to live broadcast at the New York Stock Exchange. The journalist has received acclaim for her many extremely successful programs. Veteran broadcaster with more than two decades' experience writing about business and economics, she was instrumental in helping CNBC grow into one of television's top channels for business and the economy. It is obvious that this lady is destined to be a journalist after her success in the field. Yet as a young woman Maria was very confused about which career path to choose. When she first started out, Maria was aspired to become a performer. Then she switched to interior designer. However, once she experienced the thrill journalism has to offer there was no looking to go back. She is a great journalist, and she's an example for girls seeking to succeed in largely male-dominated fields. As well as being listed as one of the fifty faces that shaped the decade, she's the first female journalist to ever get inducted into the Cable Hall of Fame. Also, she is a writer as well as a columnist.
