
Jennifer has always wanted to be a multi-tasking superstar. She was a fan of many different styles of music at a young age, such as Afro-Caribbean music styles like merengue, salsa, and merengue and bachata. As an adult, her favorite genres were traditional pop-hop music like R&B Hip-hop, as well as mainstream pop-punk. The music she loved was also fascinated by the movie industry. Her greatest influence was Rita Moreno musical, West Side Story (1961). At 5, Jennifer began taking singing and dancing lessons. Jennifer, besides being an entertainer as well as a Catholic schoolgirl, attended for eight years of Holy Family Catholic Middle School in The Bronx. After a four-year stay in the Bronx, she graduated from Preston High School, an all-girls prep school. Jennifer, a talented athlete, who played track and fields and tennis at school , was an exceptional pupil. She spent most of her living in a 2-story home located in the Castle Hill neighborhood. Jennifer quit her home at the age of was 18 and moved in with her family. Lopez worked as a lawyer in that time and took evening dance classes.
